By accessing and using ResumeRoo ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and ResumeRoo ("we", "us", or "our"). We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Description of Service

ResumeRoo is an AI-powered platform designed to help Australian Public Service (APS) professionals create, analyze, and improve their resumes. Our services include:

• Resume upload and parsing
• AI-powered resume analysis against APS criteria
• Resume generation and optimization suggestions
• Template-based resume creation
• Document export in various formats

We offer both free and paid subscription plans. Features available to you depend on your subscription level.

User Accounts and Responsibilities

To use ResumeRoo, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Not share your account with others or allow others to access your account
• Promptly notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
• Be at least 18 years of age or have parental consent
• Use the Service only for lawful purposes

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

Acceptable Use Policy

The following activities are prohibited:

• Creating resumes with false credentials, experience, or qualifications
• Using the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempting to access other users' accounts or data
• Interfering with the proper functioning of the Service
• Transmitting viruses, malware, or harmful code
• Harassing, abusing, or harming other users or staff
• Reverse engineering or attempting to extract source code from the Service
• Using automated tools (bots, scrapers) to abuse the Service
• Violating any applicable laws or regulations

Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of ResumeRoo, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, and software, are owned by ResumeRoo and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Content: You retain ownership of the resumes and personal information you upload to our Service. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use, process, and store it solely for providing our services to you.

Generated Content: Resumes and other content generated by our AI are provided for your personal use. You may use generated content for legitimate job applications and professional purposes. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before use.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of our Service without our express written permission.

Subscriptions and Payments

For paid subscription plans:

• Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Price Changes: We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days notice
• Refunds: Refunds are provided at our discretion; contact support for refund requests
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of your billing period

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ResumeRoo shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Errors or inaccuracies in resume analysis or generation
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Actions taken by third parties based on generated content
• Any loss resulting from your use of AI-generated content

Our total liability to you for all claims shall not exceed the amount you paid for our services in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100 AUD if you have not paid for services.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ResumeRoo and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Content you upload or generate through the Service

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice.

Grounds for termination include, but are not limited to:

• Violation of these Terms of Service
• Violation of our Privacy Policy
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Abuse of our services or systems
• Extended account inactivity
• Chargebacks or payment disputes

Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service will immediately cease
• We may delete your account and associated data
• No refunds will be provided for partial subscription periods
• Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall remain in effect

You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting support.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Australian Capital Territory, Australia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of the Australian Capital Territory. Nothing in these Terms affects your rights as a consumer under Australian Consumer Law.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:

• Posting the updated Terms on our website with a new "Last Updated" date
• Sending an email notification to registered users
• Displaying a prominent notice within the Service

It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
